You start out controlling one fief in ancient Japan, and your goal is to unify the country under one flag. If you remember the game Nobunaga's Ambition, this is a lot like that in many ways. However, this was the first "Empires" game I've tried, and I thought it was great. Sure, if you've played every one of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warrior games that have come out, they're going to seem repetitive. ![]() What people seem to forget is that the reason very little changes is that the game works well as it is. I've seen reviews of the KOEI line of games that gripe constantly about how nothing ever changes-it's the same game with new characters and settings. Nothing original, but a very engaging game
